George Ackers (1852)

The arms of George Ackers of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania who came to the United States from Lancashire in 1852.

The Arms of George Ackers 1852.  Argent, on a bend sable, three acorns or, husked vert.

The Coat of Arms Blazoned: Argent, on a bend sable, three acorns or, husked vert.
Crested: A dove rising propper in the beak an acorn of the arms.
Motto: La Liberte.

The arms were most likely awarded in England by the College of Arms of Great Britain.

As cited in the 1904 Edition of Crozier’s General Armory; William Armstrong Crozier, Fox Duffield & Company, New York.
